Roka Akor is committed to ensuring that our website, rokaakor.com, is accessible to people with disabilities. We believe in creating an inclusive online experience that allows all of our guests to discover, reserve, and enjoy our restaurants.

We are working to ensure our website meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the recognized standard for web accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We are also actively working toward conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Measures we take

To support accessibility, we have implemented the following:

• Code-level accessibility. Our website is built using semantic HTML, proper heading structure, and ARIA attributes where appropriate.
• Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements — including reservations, navigation, and forms — can be operated with a keyboard alone.
• Screen reader compatibility. We test with leading screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
• Visible focus indicators. Every interactive element shows a clearly visible focus indicator when navigated by keyboard.
• Color contrast. Body text meets a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1, and large text and interactive components meet 3:1 against their backgrounds.
• Reduced motion. Animations and autoplay video respect the user’s prefers-reduced-motion system setting.
• Pause control on motion. Any moving content longer than five seconds includes a visible pause control.
• Programmatic form labels. All form inputs are associated with descriptive labels and provide clear error messages.
• Skip-to-content link. Keyboard users can skip repeated navigation blocks at the top of every page.
• Alternative text. Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked appropriately.
• Continuous testing. We use automated tools (axe DevTools, WAVE, Lighthouse, Pa11y) and manual testing to identify and address accessibility issues.
• Independent audits. We commission periodic third-party accessibility audits to verify our conformance.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Roka Akor’s website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard, and we are actively working to remediate them.

This statement was prepared on May 17, 2026. We review and update this statement at least annually and after any significant changes to the website.

Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content on rokaakor.com may not yet be fully accessible. Specifically:

• Third-party content. Some embedded third-party content — including our reservation system (OpenTable), online ordering platforms, gift card platforms, live chat, and social media feeds — is provided by external services and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We are working with these providers to improve accessibility.
• Older PDF documents. Some PDF documents posted prior to May 2026 may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We are progressively remediating these and can provide accessible alternatives upon request.
• Older images. Some images uploaded prior to May 2026 may have generic or missing alternative text. We are progressively updating alt text across our media library.
